The Future of Public Education in Good Spirit
School Division … this is your chance to play a part!

The Board of Education of the Good Spirit School Division is
currently undertaking a strategic planning process to determine the future
vision of public education division-wide. This important process allows feedback
and input from many different stakeholder groups. The information and ideas
collected will be collated and used to form the basis of a strategic plan for
the next 5 to 10 years of division operations.

A variety of input is an integral part of this process to ensure
feedback from many. Specific focus group discussions are being planned as well
as a series of 4 public meetings where open, honest dialogue is encouraged.
Laura Soparlo of Soparlo Consulting Inc. will be leading the discussions.

Public Forum Meetings

Numerous public meetings are being planned division-wide to allow
all community members the opportunity to provide comments and feedback. They
will include discussions on current perceptions as well as the future
direction of the Good Spirit School Division. Meetings are scheduled as
follows:

These public forums are an integral part of the strategic planning
process to ensure that all voices have a chance to be heard. Good Spirit School
Division operates in 17 communities and each is valued for the unique qualities
and perspectives they bring to our division. Each indivdiual has knowledge and
insight to share and we are looking forward to hearing from interested
stakeholders in a variety of informative, engaging discussions.

Survey

If you are unable to attend a public meeting, we still want to
ensure you have a chance to have your voice heard. A survey has been developed
to garner your feedback. It can be completed at your convenience and will be
available for completion January 16 to February 16, 2012.
